📘 📘 General Study Rules at Engline
Please read the following terms carefully. By clicking "I Agree", you fully acknowledge and accept all clauses.
I. How Study Works
- •Study at Engline takes place online via Google Meet for all sessions.
- •The session link will be available directly on the academy's website.
- •The academy provides a dedicated Chatbox for communication between learner and teacher, and between learner and administration, via the academy's website.
- •Sessions in both programs (individual and group) are suspended during public holidays and religious occasions, with suspension lasting one to three days depending on the occasion.
- •Sessions in the individual program for children are fully suspended during school exam periods, to allow them to focus on their studies and exams.
II. Study Conditions & Behaviour During Sessions
- •Attending sessions requires a stable, good-quality internet connection and being in a quiet, suitable place for studying.
- •Keeping the camera on throughout the entire session is mandatory to ensure proper interaction and follow-up.
- •The microphone must also be available and working properly. It should be used when the teacher requests communication or when the learner wishes to ask a question or participate during the session.
- •Attending sessions from a moving or noisy location is not permitted, such as a car, airplane, or while travelling.
- •Please stay focused and attentive throughout the session. The learner must have a dedicated study space, attend via their own phone or computer, and be alone without other children or any factors that may affect their concentration or the study environment.
- •Parents are welcome to check on their children during sessions or attend the full session without any issue, provided they do not interfere with the session and only observe. Participating, answering, or helping the child in any way is strictly prohibited. Please also avoid appearing in front of the camera during the session, out of respect for the study rules and learners' concentration.
- •The agreed schedule for sessions is fixed from the moment study begins, and cannot be changed by the teacher or the learner, except in exceptional circumstances and with the approval of both the teacher and administration. Please respect the schedule and be present at the specified time.
III. Attendance, Lateness & Absences
- •The learner must attend the session at the scheduled time.
- •The session begins after a maximum waiting period of 10 minutes from the scheduled start time.
- •The learner may join after being late, but the teacher is not obligated to re-explain what was missed or repeat the part covered during the learner's absence.
- •In group programs, the session starts even if only one learner is present, and is not postponed or cancelled due to the absence of other learners.
- •In group programs: absences are never compensated.
- •In the individual program: only three absences can be compensated. Any additional absences are the learner's responsibility.
- •In the individual program, the teacher waits a full 30 minutes from the session start time for the learner to join. If the learner joins within this period, only the remaining session time is delivered without any extra time or compensation for time lost.
- •If the learner joins more than 30 minutes after the session start time, the session is considered an absence and cannot be delivered or taught.
- •Teacher absences are always compensated and are very rare.
IV. Recording Sessions & Content
- •Recording sessions by learners or parents is strictly prohibited.
- •Sessions are not recorded by the learner, and all educational content rights remain the exclusive property of the academy.
- •The teacher sends summaries and educational videos after the session for review and reminder purposes only.
V. Level Assessment & Group Changes
- •Engline Academy conducts a level placement test before enrolling any learner in the appropriate program.
- •In the group program, changing groups mid-month is not permitted.
- •In very exceptional cases, a group change may be made if the learner's level is found to be unsuitable (too weak or too advanced), at the administration's discretion only.
- •If the learner is not satisfied with the first free trial session with the teacher in the individual program only, they may refuse registration and inform the administration, in order to change the teacher and offer another trial session with a different teacher before confirming final registration.
VI. Payment & Registration
- •Payment is made before the first session in all programs, except for the individual program which includes a free introductory session.
- •Proof of payment must be sent directly to the administration only via the dedicated section on the website.
- •In the individual program, a one-week period is granted to confirm payment via the website after the first trial session ends; otherwise, registration will be automatically cancelled.
- •If payment is not made within the specified deadline, registration is not confirmed and the learner's spot reservation is cancelled.
VII. Refund Policy
At Engline, we strive to provide the best possible educational experience and believe your investment with us is a step toward achieving your goals. Accordingly, refunds cannot be requested after payment for any reason, in order to ensure the seriousness of learners and the organised continuity of programs.
In the event of any issue, the administration will intervene to find an appropriate solution. The teacher may be changed if necessary, with only the remaining sessions completed, without the possibility of requesting a refund.
VIII. Special Cases
- •If the learner has a specific illness, health condition, psychological condition, or any special situation, the administration and teacher must be informed in advance so that the learner can be handled appropriately.
- •Failure to inform the administration or teacher of any special condition is considered the responsibility of the parents and learner, who bear full consequences thereof. The academy is not responsible for any issues or consequences that may arise if this condition was not disclosed in advance.
